- Our farm is located in the heart of Prairie Crossing, a nationally recognized
conservation community in Grayslake, Illinois. We began farming
in Southern Wisconsin in the spring of 2000 with little more than a
pitchfork and a wheelbarrow. With the help of friends and family,
Sandhill Organics has become a successful family farm operating on
just over 40 acres. In 2004, we moved our farm operation to Prairie
Crossing, just 40 miles northwest of Chicago. We grow a wide range of
vegetables, herbs and flowers. Our farm is certified organic by Midwest
Organic Services Association.
We have a Community Supported Agriculture program that serves more than 300 families in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Our members receive weekly deliveries of farm-fresh vegetables and fruits from early May through mid-December. We are grateful for the support of our customers, and we look forward to the opportunity to provide you with fresh, local vegetables and fruits.
