- Our farm is located in the heart of Prairie Crossing, a nationally recognized
conservation community in Grayslake, Illinois. We began farming
in Southern Wisconsin in the spring of 2000 with little more than a
pitchfork and a wheelbarrow. With the help of friends and family,
Sandhill Organics has become a successful family farm operating on
just over 40 acres. In 2004, we moved our farm operation to Prairie
Crossing, just 40 miles northwest of Chicago. We grow a wide range of
vegetables, herbs and flowers. Our farm is certified organic by Midwest
Organic Services Association.
We have a Community Supported Agriculture program that serves more than 300 families in the northern suburbs of Chicago. Our members receive weekly deliveries of farm-fresh vegetables and fruits from early May through the end of September. We are grateful for the support of our customers, and we look forward to the opportunity to provide you with fresh, local vegetables and fruits.
